Located on the southeastern corner of the campus along Lake Hollingsworth Drive, the new building capitalizes on lake views while providing clear pathways from numerous campus landmarks. The three-story building provides classrooms with advanced technology for recording lectures and distance education, a state-of-the-art trading room and multiple small group breakout rooms located around a two-story student lounge area.
TLC, in order to meet the varying uses and room sizes in the building, designed a mechanical system that uses cassette fan coils which offer user adjustment for thermal comfort. Variable refrigerant flow units also support the ability to efficiently and sustainably adjust thermal comfort in individual spaces. Dedicated outside air with heat recovery assures a quality indoor environment. Lighting controls, occupancy sensors and LED lighting achieve sustainability goals, along with aesthetic and functional lighting needs.
