Overview
The two-story fire station, delivered through design-build, includes three fire truck apparatus bays, living quarters to accommodate a crew of seven, offices and storage rooms, along with a kitchen and a dayroom. The building is connected to all public utilities and is equipped with a police sub-station, a fuel station, an emergency generator and a medical triage room.

Energy-saving steps were taken to achieve an energy-use reduction of nearly 25%, with a savings of approximately $5,000 per year in comparison with the ASHRAE 90.1 baseline. Sustainable features include water-efficient plumbing fixtures and roofing materials that reduce heat absorption.
