Project list

The John C. Hitt Library at the University of Central Florida’s main campus is being expanded to accommodate the exponential student growth and to further incorporate 21st Century library standards. Phase 1 of the multiphase project consisted of a four-story Automated Retrieval Center (ARC) building, where robots are used to store, organize, and retrieve books. Phase 1A, currently under construction, involves a four-story connector building that links the library to the ARC. The connector building consists of study spaces, a multipurpose room, classrooms and three new elevators as well as providing a new main entrance to the library.
