Overview
TLC provided assessment, planning, design, and support services through construction for this $26M, 84,000-SF renovation and expansion project whose goal was educational efficiency through technology. The Center enhances the student experience and supports economic and cultural development in the broader region. Building components include:
• An acoustically flexible, intimate 300-seat concert hall
• 18 sound-isolated teaching studios that centralize music faculty in a single location when they were previously scattered around campus
• 6 new and 17 upgraded sound-isolated practice rooms
• 1600-SF state-of-the-art electronic Yamaha keyboard studio
• 3500-SF highly flexible recital/rehearsal space
• 1300-SF multipurpose room with dance floor, mirrors, bar, and natural light
• Modernized 700-seat multipurpose Lyte Auditorium featuring superb sound system to accommodate theatrical productions
• Recording studio with connectivity to rehearsal and performance spaces
