Charlotte Office
In 2021, TLC expanded its presence in North Carolina with the acquisition of Griffith Engineering, Inc. The new Charlotte office services a multitude of diverse clients throughout the Carolinas. The TLC team continues to become further ingrained in the “Queen City” community.

Rafi leads TLC's Jacksonville and Atlanta offices, in addition to oversight on project excellence, staff supervision, managing projects and engineering electrical systems for projects. With 30+ years in the industry, Rafi has worked on numerous projects types.

Wally B. Ray

Managing Principal
Wally is the Managing Principal of TLC’s Charlotte office. He also serves as Senior Mechanical Engineer on projects that originate in that office. Wally is a licensed professional engineer in six states, he is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) as well as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C). His professional affiliations include the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Energy Services Coalition (ESC) & the United States Green Building Council, North Carolina Chapter (USGBC).

TLC's mentorship program is one of the many ways the firm goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of their employees. Both mentors and mentees learn from each other, share challenges, brainstorm and form unique bonds.
Berni supports business development efforts in Charlotte and throughout the Carolinas, with a primary focus on healthcare and additional markets including education and aviation. She joined TLC in December 2021, bringing a diverse marketing background spanning industries such as lighting design, music publishing, and rock climbing. While Berni has a strong foundation in content creation and graphic design and continues to enjoy all aspects of marketing, her role at TLC has led her to increasingly focus on business development and client engagement.
