After 30 years with TLC Engineering Solutions, Managing Principal Wayne Allred is retiring, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, growth, and lasting client relationships.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Engineering and the Florida Institute of Technology with an M.S. in Engineering Management, Wayne has spent the past three decades helping grow TLC’s Orlando office. His leadership contributed to the expansion of the Orlando MEP group and Orlando Commissioning, the development of strong client relationships, and the growth of many professionals throughout the organization.
During his career, Wayne helped strengthen TLC’s presence across the Aviation, Commercial, Education, Entertainment, Hospitality, Municipal, and Workplace markets throughout Central Florida. He played an important role in building long-standing relationships with clients including the City of Orlando, University of Central Florida, Seminole State College, Valencia College, Daytona State College, AdventHealth, Walt Disney Resorts, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Tavistock, Bank of New York, Orange County Convention Center, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Ritz-Carlton, and many others.
Beyond his work with TLC, Wayne was actively involved in several industry and community organizations. He served in leadership roles with AIA Orlando, contributed to the Seminole State College Advisory Board, participated on the City of Orlando Building Fire Codes Board, and served on the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Appeals. Through these roles, he helped support the advancement of the design and construction industry throughout Central Florida.
One of Wayne’s lasting contributions is the leadership team he helped develop. Through years of mentoring and planning for the future, he helped ensure a smooth transition for the Orlando office. Today, Jonathan Hammond leads the office and continues to build upon the culture, client relationships, and foundation established during Wayne’s tenure.
Reflecting on his career, Wayne shared:

As Wayne begins this next chapter, TLC celebrates his 30 years of service and the impact he has had on the firm, its clients, and its people. His leadership has helped build a strong foundation for future growth, and his contributions will continue to be felt at TLC for years to come.
