It is with a mix of gratitude and well wishes that TLC Engineering Solutions announces the retirement of a true TLC Icon, Gary Krueger. Renowned across TLC and the industry, Gary honed the role of operating unit director to sharp focus and phenomenal achievement, guiding the Melbourne/Dallas Division into a sustaining, well-oiled machine. Gary holds a Masters in Structural Engineering from Michigan State University, and since joining Gardner Griffith in 1988, which became part of TLC in 1994, he has been a cornerstone of TLC’s success. His contributions are evident through his service on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. He has earned recognition as a TLC Icon.

Beyond his exemplary leadership, Gary is among TLC’s most senior and experienced structural engineers, with expertise in structural analysis and design, 3-D computer modeling, structural system evaluation, and building and threshold inspections. He has provided invaluable technical expertise across numerous iconic projects at TLC. His impressive resume includes the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts, Cruise Terminals 3, 4, and 5 at the Port of Miami, and Cruise Terminals 1, 5, 8 (the Disney Terminal), and 10 at Port Canaveral. He also played a key role in the new Melbourne Police Station, the Arthrex Administration Building, the Peace River Citrus Processing Facility, the NASA Canister Rotation Facility, the NAVFAC Mayport Simulator Facility, and the internationally impactful NAMRU Lima Peru NAVFAC Labs.

Further demonstrating his diverse expertise, Gary contributed to the Harry Moore Judicial Center and the St. Lucia Airport Terminal. His impact extends significantly into the educational sector, where he has contributed to countless projects that have shaped learning environments for generations, including the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Labs/Classrooms, the State of Florida Science Consortium Prototype, University of Florida Design Collaborative (Architectural Building) and numerous prototype high schools and elementary schools across Florida.

As Gary embarks on this well-deserved new chapter, TLC Engineering Solutions celebrates his extraordinary career and contributions across the firm. While his steady hand and keen insights will be deeply missed, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a fulfilling retirement. Gary looks forward to enjoying more cherished moments with his family and pursuing his passions, dividing his time between the local community of Brevard Florida, and the tranquil beauty of his residence in the mountains of North Carolina.
