Hillsborough County Public Safety Operations Complex

Overview

The complex houses emergency responders in one centralized location, streamlining communication and coordination needed to quickly respond to disasters. Included on the 20 acre site is a single-story emergency operations center with 911 dispatch, media briefing rooms and space for government operations, along with a data center for the ITS department with a 70-cabinet capacity and another for 911 equipment.

Features

TLC engineered the technology criteria for the design criteria package, and designed the communications systems for the design-build project. We developed a 3D model of the data centers to verify that equipment, including power buses, computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units, fire suppression pipes, cable trays and racks, was sufficiently sized to maintain the required air movement and access clearance.
