Overview

The museum is a new venue to celebrate all aspects of Asian art and culture. The center joins the historic Ringling campus that features one of the leading art collections in the United States. The three-story center includes gallery space for displaying selections from the museum’s collection of Asian art, a print/study room, a seminar room, open object storage and a 125-person multipurpose room.

Features

TLC designed a system that minimizes humidity and large fluctuations of temperature for the gallery spaces, reducing potential expansion and contraction of exhibit material. We also designed a variable air volume air system to meet the changing heating and cooling loads of multipurpose space, maintaining a comfortable temperature for guests. LED lighting, automated lighting control and occupancy sensors minimize exposure to UV lighting that could lead to the deterioration of art pieces.
