Overview

In response to increased passenger activity, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) has developed a multiyear capital improvement plan to upgrade existing facilities, while adding a new South Terminal. A key component of the $3.1 billion plan is the 200,000 square foot Automated People Mover (APM) complex, Intermodal Terminal Facility (ITF) and Passenger Drop-off Lobby (PDL).

Features

Load reduction strategies implemented by TLC to reach the LEED certification goal include daylight harvesting, extensive use of sky lights, occupancy sensors in the garage and LED fixtures for all areas. These energy-efficient measures are projected to reduce the lighting power density within the building by 10%.
