Overview

The three-story Ronald McDonald House is situated on land donated by Nemours Children’s Hospital. The building provides comfortable, affordable lodging for families with children undergoing medical treatment at the hospital. There are 25 guest suites, including two ADA-compliant rooms, along with an apartment for the facility manager.

Features

Designed to LEED Certification standards, the house features many sustainability features such as demand control ventilation for the meeting room, air handling units with variable frequency drives to maximize part-load efficiency and temperature reset controls in the building automation system. Each guest room has an individually adjustable air conditioning system.
