Project list

Overview

Florida’s first LEED-certified police facility opened in 2010 and immediately set a high standard for police facilities across the nation. The six-story facility is designed to withstand a Category 5 hurricane. The facility includes staff offices, sleeping areas for staff, a fitness room, evidence-intake rooms and a crime lab.

Features

Sustainable features engineered by TLC include low-flow plumbing fixtures, energy-saving air-cooled chillers and lighting controls, including occupancy sensors. All windows are energy-efficient and impact-resistant. Solar shades are strategically positioned and windows are sized to provide daylight to the building interior, while limiting the amount of solar heat gain.
