University of North Florida Fine Arts Building

Overview

The two-story performing arts center building, constructed in 2000, houses a performing arts center, classrooms and offices. The University of North Florida selected TLC to assist in reducing the building’s energy consumption and operating costs, while also improving its overall performance.

Features

TLC conducted a performance assessment, including an ASHRAE Level II energy audit, retro-commissioning of existing building and commissioning of incorporated energy improvements measures. Energy conservation measures that were implemented included modifications to the sequence of operations and change in static pressure set points. As a direct result of these energy improvements, the performing arts center has realized an energy-use reduction of 16%.
