Broward Health Coral Springs Bed Tower Expansion

Overview

The expansion consisted of the addition of a four-story, 110,000 square foot patient tower to the hospital, marking it as the largest addition for Broward Health. The project also included 20,000 square feet of renovations. The new tower includes three C-section surgery suites, 12 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms, a neonatal intensive care unit and 28 private mother / baby rooms.

Features

Energy-efficient features include a building automation system, energy recovery on the exhaust system, and automated lighting controls for both interior and exterior lighting. The central energy plant was upgraded to support the expansion.
