Overview
The new international passenger terminal accommodates commercial and general aviation international arrivals. Two of the terminal’s four gates are equipped for international departures and arrivals. Phasing was required to maintain existing operations at the existing terminal during the construction of the new facility. Temporary corridors (passenger and sterile) between the old and new terminal buildings were used until the new terminal was complete.
Features
TLC provided design services for the technology systems, including a new Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facility and an expanded security checkpoint. The security checkpoint received automated screening lanes, which include larger property bins, belts that return bins to the queue after bag screening is complete, and belts that divert bins containing potential threats, so that cleared bins are allowed to continue through the system.
