Overview

TLC is providing commissioning services for an ongoing project to replace primary UPS systems, maintenance/swing UPS systems, and critical subcomponents including automatic static transfer switches, smart breakers, and remote power panels. Also included in the scope was commissioning for two new 2MW generators, data hall HVAC units, and the expansion of the Building Automation System.

These upgrades were implemented while maintaining continuous operations of the mission-critical facility, requiring careful planning and execution. Services in our scope include support at the design, construction, acceptance, and post-acceptance phases. We worked closely with the Owner, Contractor, and Engineer to support phasing the new work, including coordination and testing of temporary equipment. This collaborative approach helped mitigate risk, minimize downtime, and ensure a seamless transition to the upgraded infrastructure.

The Georgetown data center is one of the first data centers to achieve a Gold LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council. The enhanced efficiency of the facility helps meet Citigroup’s commitment to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions at its facilities worldwide. The commissioning process further supports this goal by verifying system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency in accordance with design intent.
