Overview
The consolidated rental car facility (ConRAC), located in the airport’s south development area, allows for the expansion of rental car operations while decongesting roadways and curbside passenger drop off and pick up. This project also included an automated people mover (APM) train system, with three stations along a new 1.3-mile guideway, providing connections to the main terminal, ConRAC and long-term parking garage.
Features
TLC’s scope included the design of a new 1200-ton central energy plant that the project team had selected after performing a life cycle cost analysis. The analysis showed that over the life of the equipment, the cost of ownership would provide an attractive energy savings each year. The plant serves six site buildings and was sized for the planned future expansion of the bridge and atrium project.
