TLC Engineering Solutions Orlando Office Renovation

Overview

TLC’s headquarters and largest office has been in Orlando’s Citrus Building for 15 years. The most recent renovation and reorganization includes two and a half floors that house 170+ team members. TLC’s renovation coincided with the building owner upgrading common areas, including restrooms on each of the TLC-occupied floors. TLC’s commitment to healthy and sustainable facilities is demonstrated through the certification of the space for both LEED and WELL. The design provides a mix of open and closed office spaces, team member cafe, quiet rooms, conference spaces, THINK LAB, server room, and a large assembly area, in addition to an activity space housing a ping pong table, corn hole and comfortable seating for informal meetings.

One of the greatest challenges was overcoming energy inefficiencies created by dated glazing. TLC invested in a high-performance window film to reduce heat and glare, while still admitting adequate visible light into the space to support staff members’ healthy circadian balance.
