Vanderbilt University implemented a five-phase, multimillion dollar renovation and expansion of its athletics facilities, including the two-story McGugin Center, to increase its level of sports competition. Vanderbilt’s administration offices, football coaches’ offices, ticket office, athletic training room, locker rooms and academic center are all housed in the center.
TLC was contracted by Vanderbilt University to provide building commissioning services for the Phase III renovation and expansion of the center. We commissioned the lighting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm point-to-point verification systems as well as associated equipment. We returned to the center 10 months into its 12-month warranty period to discuss system performance with facilities staff, who communicated that overall the building was performing as designed.
