Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) Terminal Expansion and Renovation

Overview
This $350 million project includes an expanded concourse to accommodate additional aircraft parking spaces for both domestic and international operations. The 192,525 sf of addition and upgrades include 10 new gates, ticketing lobby renovations, baggage infrastructure, security improvements, ancillary passenger facilities, and concourse circulation. To maintain existing operations during construction, a new temporary passenger walkway was constructed.
Features
System improvements include the addition of new IT communications rooms to support IT and security services for the expanded terminal. Implementation of new common/shared use network equipment will provide flexibility for airline gate assignments. IT systems included are new MuFIDS, new cellular DAS, public Wi-Fi system, paging system, airport television system, and security network infrastructure.
