Boca Towers I and II Magnetic Chiller Upgrade

Overview

Boca Towers I and II are Class A, 100% leased office buildings. Tower I is a six-story, 120,000 square foot building and Tower II is a five-story,100,000 square foot building. Both towers had a centrifugal chiller that needed to be replaced due to age.

Features

TLC studied various chiller system configurations that would deliver redundancy, operate quietly and efficiently. We recommended modular multistack maglev chillers arranged in two stacks per building. The new chillers are quiet, efficient and reach efficiencies of 0.37 kW/ton at partial load conditions. We also recommended bidding the equipment and installation separately, resulting in additional savings of more than $100,000.
