Overview
Delivered under a progressive design-build contract, this 80,000 sf project replaced the existing DFW Terminal C high gates with a new modular core and shell envelope. The modules were fabricated off-site, providing a controlled environment to help ensure quality, and required extensive coordination with the design and construction teams. The project was defined in a Super-Schematic design package and delivered as separate core/shell and interior finish-out. The four new gates are the beginning of renovations to Terminal C. This innovative approach allowed DFW to fundamentally reimagine the way they traditionally design and build airport terminals. 2023 DFW Project of the Year. 2023, IES Illumination Award of Merit. 2022, ENR TX&LA Award of Merit, Airport/Transit.
