Overview
The Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) ensures that the men and women entering the armed forces meet the high standards required by the DoD and the military services. Because the MEPS facilitates the entry, processing and testing of enlistees, it requires a number of diverse spaces under one roof and engineered systems that are flexible and energy efficient.

TLC's energy modeling services helped drive the design, yielding a building that uses 21.5% less energy compared with the ASHRAE 90.1 baseline. We designed a daylighting strategy using fully dimming light fixtures and photo cells throughout the building. Another energy conservation measure includes the use of R-20 roof insulation with a highly reflective white TPO membrane on low-sloped roofs.
