Overview

Security, efficiency and cost-effectiveness are the hallmarks of the new Public Safety Building and Fire Station #72 for the City of Sunrise. Located in the City’s Municipal Complex, the two new buildings were designed to be contextual to their surroundings. They can withstand natural or man-made disasters while remaining operational for a minimum of 72 hours.

Features

Security and communications are crucial to public safety. TLC designed an Internet Protocol (IP)-based access control system utilizing smart cards that limit access in the complex, with biometric finger print readers on evidence storage lockers. A closed-circuit television (CCTV) system with high definition (HD)-quality IP cameras monitors both interior and exterior of the building and has 30-day capacity.
