Overview
Recognizing a need to provide the Brandon community with convenient access to quality healthcare services, Tampa General Hospital (TGH) opened its first off-site outpatient medical center, TGH Brandon Healthplex.
The four-story, 130,000 square foot facility houses an outpatient surgery center, pharmacy, laboratory, medical offices and a 24/7 emergency department. It also includes diagnostic imaging and an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) with six operating rooms.
Features
Packaged direct expansion rooftop units provide heating, cooling, and ventilation to the majority of the building. The operating rooms have a dedicated air handling unit and 120-ton air-cooled chiller.
The 2000 KW emergency generator has an underground fuel tank that can hold up to 12,000 gallons. The generator can operate the ASC and the emergency department for 72 hours at 100% load without any need to load shed.
Energy-efficient features include LED lighting, occupancy sensors, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
