Overview

Airside F, constructed in 1987, was expanded to facilitate increased international flights and accommodates up to 900 international passengers per hour in Customs & Border Protection (CBP) areas by providing additional baggage claim devices and queuing areas. Outbound passengers benefit from reduced wait times at the security screening checkpoint (SSCP) through additional screening lanes and improved and expanded queuing.

Features

The design-build project was phased to maintain operations through construction and the project team worked closely together to rework the main Airside SSCP and maximize re-use of equipment where possible to maintain the project budget. The existing and new systems were modeled in REVIT, providing enhanced interdisciplinary coordination.
