Overview

Designed to feel like home, YourLife™ facilities provide memory care and assisted living in an engaging, comfortable atmosphere. While each facility is unique, there is a consistent focus on providing residents with an environment that is safe, secure and allows them to maintain their dignity. Each facility provides a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments in a variety of layouts depending on location.

TLC has engineered seven of these facilities across Florida. The Palm Beach Garden complex is a four-level 165,500 square foot assisted living facility with a separate three-level 69,500 square foot memory care unit connected on the first floor. The assisted living facility houses 70 private units and 13 companion units, sleeping a total of 96.

Features

Dedicated to memory care, the location in Coconut Creek is a two-story, pre-cast plank floor structure on masonry shear and bearing walls. A mansard roof profile was created utilizing light gage trusses on steel joists. The facility features 64 private units and 10 companion units.

The Tallahassee location is a freestanding building, constructed of masonry and wood-bearing walls, plus prefabricated wood trusses. When Tallahassee was hit by the Category 5 Hurricane, Michael in 2018, the single-story structure sustained no damage. Housing three memory units, a courtyard, and striking structural steel framing at the large open area atrium, this memory care facility serves as the model for future sites and has been replicated in four other locations.

Resident units are designed with multi-zone VRF multi-split systems for greater comfort and control. Heating can be provided via heat-pump mode, allowing greater cost savings over standard split system electrical heaters. One condensing unit serves multiple units, decreasing the equipment footprint.Further operational cost savings are achieved with high efficiency, low flow plumbing fixtures and LED lighting throughout.
