David Kahn

David is an expert in architectural acoustics with decades of experience designing sound environments for a wide range of spaces, including performing arts centers, museums, schools, offices, and outdoor venues. Since 1983, he has helped architects and clients integrate room acoustics, sound isolation, noise and vibration control, and AV systems into cohesive designs. His work spans from master planning to commissioning. As a trumpet player, he brings a performer’s perspective while balancing practical and budgetary needs, ensuring inclusive, high-quality environments for culture, recreation, and productivity.
