Overview

AdventHealth Daytona Beach has been enhanced with the expansion of pediatric care on the first and fourth floors. The fourth floor buildout added a 10-bed pediatric unit, 24-bed postpartum and gynecology patient unit and a nine-bassinet nursery. The 1,318 square foot support space in the first-floor emergency department was renovated to provide an improved pediatric flow throughout the unit.

Features

Individual temperature and lighting controls give patients the flexibility to customize settings to their liking. Technology needs are met by card readers, wireless access points, a video intercom system, flat-screen TVs and a CCTV security system. The use of LED lighting resulted in a 50% energy savings over fluorescent lighting. The work was completed in phases to keep the existing facility fully operational while making modifications.
