Baptist Health South Florida – Baptist Hospital of Miami Al and Jane Nahmad Women’s Cancer Center at the Keeley Pavilion

Overview

Located on the west end of the Baptist Hospital of Miami campus, this new four-story all-electric outpatient building is dedicated to women’s cancer treatment, providing breast oncology and gynecology oncology services. Additionally, there is a freestanding parking garage with infrastructure for 227 electric vehicle charging stations.

The rooftop equipment includes premium-efficiency modular air-to-water heat pump chillers with heat recovery, providing a total of 600 tons of cooling and 3800MBH of heating. Interior spaces are cooled by active chilled beams grouped
together in strategic zones throughout the building. The building also includes a four-story atrium with an active smoke control system.

Emergency power for the facility and garage is provided by an on-site, 2000 kW standby-rated, 480/277V diesel emergency generator with natural gas bi-fuel substitution located in an exterior Level II sound-attenuated weather-resistant
enclosure.
