Brickell City Centre Reach and Rise Residential Towers
Certified LEED NC 2009 Gold, 2018
AIA Florida, Merit Award of Excellence for New Work, 2018
Overview
Miami’s skyline changed dramatically with the addition of Brickell City Centre, a $1.05 billion mixed-use development that includes 1.1 million square feet of environmentally-responsible living space. Amenities located on the five-story podium deck include a swimming pool, heated by high-efficiency gas-fired boilers when necessary. A rainwater harvesting system provides 100% of the landscape irrigation demands.
Features
Both residential towers are registered for LEED NC, with a target of Gold level certification. The entire City Centre complex has achieved LEED Neighborhood Development 2009 Certification. With approximately 600 tons of cooling load density per square foot, the condo towers’ energy performance exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 baseline performance by 26%, making the towers among the most efficient residential buildings in the region.
