Overview

Overlooking Florida International University’s nature preserve, Parkview Hall is an on-campus residence hall designed to enhance the learning environment for students. The dormitory includes two six-story buildings that are linked by a third-story pedestrian bridge that has student spaces for study and recreation. The modern hall also includes community lounges, administrative areas, kitchens, a laundry room and other areas to accommodate residential life programs and activities.

Features

As part of its LEED certification efforts, FIU engaged TLC to perform fundamental and enhanced commissioning of the building systems, including HVAC, lighting / lighting control and domestic hot water. Commissioning resulted in a streamlined construction process and verification that the building systems operate as designed.
