Overview

Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) partnered with Suncoast Credit Union to build the Suncoast Credit Union Arena, providing much-needed general use space for FSW’s growing student population. Positioned as a cultural hub, the two-story multipurpose event and recreation facility serves as the home of the FSW Buccaneers basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams as well as special events such as graduations and concerts.

Features

The new central energy plant houses two high-efficiency air-cooled rotary screw chillers, each with a 300-ton capacity. Bipolar ionization is used to reduce the amount of required ventilation air, decreasing energy costs. The facility has a complete facility Wi-Fi overlay. The HD video wall, scoreboard and ribbon boards display full color-LED messaging for basketball, volleyball and wrestling games.
