Overview

The 51-year-old Fontainebleau was restored to its former glory, with 21st century engineering. The renovated guest towers have 825 guest rooms and 76 suites. Overlooking the Atlantic is the convention center, with an adaptable design that can support 58 meeting rooms, pre-function areas, outdoor functions, four boardrooms and three ballrooms.

Features

Flexibility, energy efficiency, and cost effectiveness were the main engineering goals. The energy plant is centrally located on the lower levels to minimize installation costs and reduce long-term maintenance expenses. Power to the facility is conducted by six utility transformers feeding six switchboards, while two 1000-kW, diesel-driven generators provide backup power. Serving the convention center is a state-of-the-art audio visual system.
