Overview
After identifying a need for secure luxury car storage in the Coral Gables area, CFH Group decided to build the Gables Auto Vault, a five-story mixed-use luxury car storage building that allows car collectors a location to place their extravagant collections of automobiles.
The first floor of the building contains a Tesla showroom and dealership. The second and third floors are devoted to servicing the electric vehicles, while the fourth and fifth floors consist of 20 private car condos, an owners’ lounge, rooftop deck, and four vehicle elevators.
Features
Installation of the vehicle lifts proved challenging as they were not equipped with a battery lowering device that would operate the lifts during a power outage. TLC creatively solved this challenge by designing a transfer switch system that reconnects loads to the generator and keeps the lifts in service.
Energy-efficient features include lighting controls and a high efficiency HVAC system that are in compliance with Florida building energy codes.
