Project list

Overview

Lynn Business Center, the first project in the state of Florida to be LEED certified by the USGBC, is a showpiece of sustainability, combining environmentally sensitive planning, siting, architectural design, and engineered building systems. The building exhibits multiuse spaces for classes, meetings, conferences, presentations, and faculty offices. Three smaller adjacent buildings house a 200-seat lecture hall and additional flex-use spaces.

Features

The final design reflects a calculated energy-use reduction of 32% compared with ASHRAE minimum standards and is well above Florida’s energy code requirements. Insulated low-E glass keeps the facility cool in summer and warm in winter. Carbon dioxide monitoring maximizes indoor air quality and minimizes energy use by varying the outside air drawn into the building based on the number of occupants.
