Overview

Hough Hall is home to the University’s Graduate School of Business. This high-tech building provides students with five large classrooms, two flexible seminar rooms, 17 student breakout rooms, two lounges, financial markets lab, lockers including showers, convenience store and workspace for staff and administrators, around a three-story atrium.

Features

LEED Gold certification was the target throughout design, with an emphasis on points for energy-saving strategies. Energy savings comes from low lighting power density, daylight harvesting, solar hot water heating, HVAC controls strategies and energy recovery, coupled with a high performance envelope. The post-construction model shows that the finished building is 41% more efficient than a baseline building.
