University of North Florida Education and Human Services

Overview

The College of Education and Human Services building was the first LEED Gold building on the campus and the fourth UNF building to achieve LEED certification. The building includes classrooms, auditoriums, student services, a library and an assistive technology lab.

Features

The integrated design-build team worked together to deliver a successful project, holding regular LEED meetings to review the status of the credits being pursued. The building uses energy-saving measures, recycled materials and natural light. The energy efficient HVAC system achieved 23% reduction below ASHRAE 90.1.
